About the event
Mist and rain, gales and sunshine - what's the weather forecast for your poetry? In this immersive workshop, we'll use a close enjoyment and discussion of sample poems to investigate how the weather can be portrayed and employed in a poem. John will offer a variety of quotes, templates and instructions, all focussed on various aspects of the weather. A series of quick-fire exercises will help stimulate the imagination and lay the foundations of a new poem.
Suitable for those at an early stage in their writing or with some experience.
This workshop is for you if:
• you want some tips and practical advice on drafting poems
• you're already writing poetry, but need new directions and new ideas
